Aloha!

July 13, 2009

My family organized a reunion in Florida last week and as I mentioned in a previous entry, I couldn’t go because I’m stuck in the UK, passport-less waiting for a yay or nay on citizenship.

But you know what? It didn’t stop me. I’ve been in similar situations before and when I felt like I was missing out, I did something about it. (Going to Australia? Not without me!)

Behold the Family Reunion 2009 photo:

Now complete with me and Scott. I would have given Lisa the Lobster a run for her money had I been there in all my tiki drink glory, if I do say so myself. And Scott? Well, he’s so excited, he clearly cannot hide it.  He couldn’t even contain his hip-shaking moves for the photo op.

Nobody has a luau without us.

Still laughing about the white jeans. Maybe because I could actually see him wearing them in real life! He is European.

Bottomline, you guys were missed and I’m glad you could find a why to insert yourselves into our good time :)

Nice! Somehow, I too could picture Scott wearing the white jeans and performing the dance moves…

You guys were sorely missed! It really isn’t a party without you two. Must get that passport situation taken care of before Krissy’s wedding!

Shut up Lisa. I think it has been proven over the 10 years I have known you that where Americans take the piss out of European fashion, 12 months later they are wearing said fashion items with glee (I site t-shirts that fit as an example). And on the same point, you cannot class us Brits with Germans, Austrians and other mainland Europeans with questionable fashion sense (no offence to any Germans and/or Austrians…but you know it’s true)

In any case, I think I pull off skinny white jeans quite well…

This is amazing. I wonder if you can really get a Tiki cup outfit like that. And Scott looks a lot like Lou Diamond Phillips in ‘La Bamba’ but with a Hawaiian shirt.

Scott, could I borrow those jeans for the next family reunion??? I think I had a pair just like those in 1963??!! Or better yet, I will put them on Norm and dredge up some hot memories!
